At Yellow Springs Dental, we are excited to announce the implementation of the latest technology in the placement of Dental Implants. Utilizing state-of-the-art dental imaging with Cone-Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT), and partnering with a top-notch dental laboratory, Dental Implant placement has become incredibly precise.
CBCT allows the reconstruction of the patient’s anatomy in 3D. All surgical sites are carefully evaluated for adequate bone supply and also to avoid certain structures (nerve canals sinuses, etc.) that can lead to challenges prior to this technology. This image is then shared with the dental laboratory that has software to virtually place the Dental Implant for optimal position for the future dental restoration. Implant manufacturer types, sizes and positions can all be decided prior to the placement now and then a Surgical Guide Stent is fabricated to duplicate this position exactly during the procedure. The end result of Guided Dental Implant Placement is shortened surgical times, quicker healing and the implant is placed in the ideal location for the future dental restoration. Yellow Springs Dental is happy to share this as a Win-Win-Win for all of our patients!
