Meet Dr. Jennifer John

Changing Lives, One Person at a Time

“I love helping my patients achieve their best oral health and most wonderful smiles. I’m passionate about preventive dentistry, so people can keep their smiles healthy. I’m also passionate about patient education. It’s essential that people understand the role oral health plays in overall wellness. I want patients to understand that connection, as well as what they can do in order to keep their mouth and body healthy. An educated patient is an empowered patient.

“I enjoy working with patients of all ages. Caring for children during their first visits is always exciting. I love helping them learn that a visit to the dentist is an enjoyable experience. I encourage younger patients’ enthusiasm and desire for independence, and teach them the best dental habits. Just as much, I enjoy working with older patients, to help them achieve their dental health and smile goals. Restoring a person’s dental function and giving them a smile they love is particularly rewarding. I also like working with patients who are medically compromised or elderly: they deserve the best care, too!”

Education and Continuing Education

I graduated from Gaithersburg High School, in Gaithersburg. Then I obtained my bachelor’s degree in biological sciences from the University of Maryland. From there, I completed a master’s in the same field at Towson University.

My Doctorate of Dental Surgery was awarded by the University of Maryland, Baltimore College of Dentistry. Following my graduation, I moved to Pennsylvania, where I completed a general practice dental residency at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Lebanon.

I am committed to providing the highest level of care to my patients. I complete many continuing education courses every year in order to stay current with research, techniques, and medical updates.

Professional Memberships

In Our Community

I’ve volunteered at the Mission of Mercy in Maryland and Pennsylvania. This organization provides free dental care to those who cannot otherwise afford it. I was also a volunteer dentist at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Lebanon, PA, to provide dental care to our veterans. I also served on a mission trip to Guatemala, where I provided dental treatment to children at Mi Refugio.

Personal Life

I love traveling. I’ve backpacked through Europe, driven down the Pacific Coast Highway, and plan on going to Peru. I stay fit through dancing, running, biking, and walking my dog, Diego. I also enjoy time with my church family at Church of the Redeemer, where I serve as an usher.

After several years of avoiding 'the dentist', I was referred to Dr. Rogers by a dental hygienist who had worked in the industry for several years. Terrified, I scheduled my first appointment. I am happy to say that I've been with Dr. Rogers and his team for the past ten years and I have a happy, healthy smile to prove it. Dr. Rogers and his staff are truly committed to excellence in all they do and they truly care about their patients. See More

My new-patient exam was a great experience. Dr. Rogers spent so much time getting to know me and my dental history. I have TMJ (difficulties) and just accepted that it was going to be something I have to deal with forever. Dr. Rogers is investigating possible solutions to help reduce or eliminate my symptoms. This was not just a checkup but a way to plan for my future health. I left feeling like I was really being cared for. It was a great experience. See More

Dr. Rogers and his team represent excellence in dentistry. The team has cared for my family for more than ten years. We feel quite assured that we are getting the best care. Dr. Rogers seems to make special effort to hand-pick his staff—I love them. All of them are genuinely caring and kind. They are such fun and they make every effort to accommodate our schedules and us. They demonstrate superior patient relations. I would enthusiastically recommend Dr. Rogers and his team to everyone!
